Gear 3 / Gear Third

This technique greatly enhances Luffy's fighting power. To activate it, he bites down on his thumb and blows into it. The exhaled air spreads throughout his arm, allowing him to inflate his arm like a balloon, making it as big as a giant's arm. He can also use it with other parts of his body (notably his stomach or his foot). Once again, only Luffy can use this technique.
